BULLDOZER
Behind the steering wheel of a bulldozer emerging from the sea, a powerful symbol takes shape — one that reflects the mechanisms of settlement immigration, aiming to displace the original inhabitants and erase Palestinian identity and heritage. This scene, drawn from the Wadi al-Saleeb archive in Haifa — a once-thriving Palestinian neighborhood forcibly depopulated during the 1948 Nakba and later left to decay — marks a pivotal moment in a sequential timeline. As the footage unfolds, we are transported through history, where the destructive forces of repressive practices and the demolition of historic buildings threaten to erase the essence of a vibrant community.
